Recently, CREE announced the launch of a new generation of horticultural XLamp XP-E2 Photo Red (660 nm) and Far Red (730 nm) LED. These high-performance horticultural LEDs improve the efficiency of LED lamps, shorten the payback period, and make it more economical to grow food under optimized lighting.

The new XP-E2 LED upgrades the existing XP horticultural LED design directly and has the same mechanical and optical characteristics as previous generations. Far Red LED brightness increased by 57% and Photo Red LED brightness increased by 21%. The new generation of XP-E2 LED provides the industry’s leading output level and efficiency in terms of performance level.
