Cree LED is supporting the aCentauri Solar Racing team as they compete in the upcoming iLumen European Solar Challenge (iESC). Comprising engineering students from ETH Zurich, this young team is dedicated to exploring the future of sustainable mobility through innovative engineering. Their self-developed solar race car, *Silvretta*, exemplifies the perfect blend of advanced engineering design and energy efficiency; powered solely by solar energy, it achieves a top speed of 100 km/h.

The ETH student team is currently preparing for the iLumen European Solar Challenge-their second time participating in the event-which will take place on September 19–20 at the former F1 circuit in Zolder, Belgium.

During the race, the aCentauri team aims to complete as many laps as possible within 24 hours, thereby demonstrating the vehicle's capabilities in energy management, system reliability, and overall performance.
