Ledestar 5050 Ultra-High Luminous Efficacy PPE Series

Ledestar's 5050 Ultra-High Luminous Efficacy PPE series breaks through the 280lm/W performance barrier with a 1W luminous efficacy, becoming one of the high-efficiency solutions in the current outdoor lighting field.

1. Core Performance Breakthrough: Entering the 280lm/W Era

In the LED lighting industry, luminous efficacy has always been a core indicator for measuring product technology. Ledestar's newly released 5050 PPE series raises the luminous efficacy per watt to over 280lm/W, a leading figure in the current outdoor lighting LED device market.

This increased luminous efficacy means significantly reduced energy consumption for the same brightness output. For large-scale outdoor lighting projects such as ports and bridges, the luminous efficacy per watt is increased from the conventional 240-260 lm/W to over 280 lm/W, resulting in an overall energy saving of 8%-15%. Based on the annual lighting electricity consumption of a medium-sized port, the annual energy savings after adopting this series of products are considerable, while also reducing carbon emissions.

In addition to high luminous efficacy, this series also optimizes brightness output. Based on the original design platform, Lidda has upgraded materials and processes, increasing product brightness by approximately 3%.

2. Material and Process Innovation: Dual Protection with PTFE and PECVD

One of the biggest challenges facing outdoor lighting LEDs is reliability in complex environments. Sulfidation, salt spray, high temperature and humidity, etc., directly affect the lifespan and light decay performance of LED devices.

The Lidda 5050 PPE series employs multiple technical solutions for protection performance. Firstly, the application of PTFE material. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) possesses excellent chemical stability and weather resistance, effectively isolating it from corrosive gases and moisture, fundamentally reducing the probability of sulfidation.

Secondly, the introduction of PECVD technology. Plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) is a process technology for preparing thin films at low temperatures. By forming a dense protective layer on the surface of LED devices, it further improves the product's airtightness and corrosion resistance. This technology has already been used in high-end outdoor LED products, but the ability to combine it with a PTFE material solution and achieve mass production demonstrates Lidda's technological accumulation in process integration.

3. Regarding the bracket

This series adopts an EMC5050 bracket solution. Compared to traditional PPA brackets, epoxy molding compound (EMC) brackets have significant advantages in high-temperature resistance, yellowing resistance, and mechanical strength, making them better suited for the long-term operating environment of outdoor lighting. Combined with the above materials and coating solutions, the overall reliability of the product is systematically enhanced.

4. UV Resistance Performance

The Lidda R&D team has also made significant upgrades. UV radiation in outdoor environments accelerates the aging of LED packaging materials, thus affecting light transmittance and product lifespan. Through optimized material formulation and improved surface treatment processes, the UV resistance of this series of products has been enhanced, helping to extend their effective lifespan in outdoor applications.

5. Certification and Quality Assurance System

Dual Endorsement of LM-80 and UL: Product reliability requires not only technical support but also authoritative certification and verification through actual test data. The Lidda 5050 PPE series has passed two important industry certifications: LM-80 and UL.

LM-80 is an LED light source light decay testing standard established by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (IESNA), and is currently the industry-recognized benchmark for LED lifespan assessment.

6. Application Scenarios

The performance positioning of the Lidda 5050 PPE series determines its application value in the high-end outdoor lighting field. Port streetlights and bridge streetlights are key application areas for this series.

Port lighting environments are typically characterized by high humidity and high salt spray, especially in coastal ports where the corrosive effects of salt and moisture on LED devices are particularly pronounced. Traditional LED light sources often experience premature light decay or even failure in such environments, leading to high maintenance costs. Lidda's 5050 PPE series, with its anti-sulfurization and anti-salt spray design, was developed specifically to address these pain points in port environments, maintaining more stable performance and a longer lifespan.

Bridge lighting places dual demands on the reliability and luminous efficacy of LED light sources. On one hand, bridge lighting fixtures are typically installed at higher locations, making maintenance and replacement difficult and costly; long lifespan and high reliability are core selection criteria. On the other hand, bridge lighting has a high power density, and high luminous efficacy means lower energy consumption and operating costs. Lidda's 5050 PPE series, with its 280lm/W high luminous efficacy and 10-year warranty, perfectly meets these two core requirements for bridge lighting.
