Luminus Launches New RGBL 4-in-1 Color LED To Improve The Color Rendering Of Traditional RGBW Scheme

Luminus Devices has launched a new 4-in-1 RGBL (red-green-blue-lime) LED product, which is designed for stage and architectural lighting systems that require high-output color mixing and high color rendering index (CRI).

Due to the extremely small spacing between the individual light-emitting surfaces, the 4-in-1 RGBL LED has unparalleled color mixing capabilities, providing lighting designers with a rich palette to create fascinating visual effects. The lime (570 nm dominant wavelength) channel replaces the cold white LED used in traditional 4-in-1 LEDs, expanding the color space while also improving brightness.

These LEDs have best-in-class lumen output at maximum current to ensure that they provide sufficient brightness in the 3000K to 8000K color temperature range while maintaining a high color rendering index of more than 85 throughout the entire process. The drive current of any channel can reach 3A and 100% DC conditions, achieving continuous high lumen output with impeccable reliability.

RGBL LED Features

• Customized RGBL offers improved brightness (typically 20%) and CRI (+5 to +10) compared to mainstream RGBW LEDs.
• Higher reliability due to ceramic phosphor technology.
• High system color uniformity: narrow wavelength range (less than 6 nm) for RGB channels and tight color space (CIEx, CIEy bin) for Lime channel.
• Designed with a standard footprint (4768 SMT), it can easily replace 4-in-1 RGBW LEDs in existing fixtures, providing a seamless product upgrade.
