Lumileds New LUXEON HL2X-V Extends Existing Design Value

• Similar lm/$ ratios to mid-power LEDs, reducing the need to redesign luminaires.

The recently launched LUXEON HL2X-V is the latest in Lumileds' commitment to solving lighting manufacturing problems. Many manufacturers with high-power LED solutions are considering rebuilding their designs with mid-power LEDs that offer lm/$ advantages. Now, with the LUXEON HL2X-V, manufacturers can achieve lm/$ ratios similar to mid-power products without spending valuable resources on redesign or re-architecting.

"With the increased value position of the LUXEON HL2X-V, critical capital and resources needed to redesign existing successful luminaires can be applied to create other new solutions and expand their market impact."

Because the LUXEON HL2X-V is based on the industry-standard 3535 package with a 3-piece solder pad, it can provide better value for existing designs regardless of the 3535 high-power LED currently used in the design. The new part is available in a full range of CCT color temperatures, providing a typical luminous flux output of 355lm at 700mA, and a typical efficacy of more than 180lm/W at 4000K 70CRI.
